Did you know? | Inflow and infiltration are common problems in aging sewer systems. As sewers age, cracks form and rain and groundwater rapidly seep into them (
infiltration, as seen above). Another problem is
inflow, where downspouts or storm lines are improperly connected to sanitary sewers. As a result, the Sewer District receives and treats this additional wastewater which is above and beyond our customers' metered consumption.
